Your host, Barb Curlew, has a passion for the Bay of Fundy. Experiencing the tides is part of our life and we love sharing it
with our guests.
We believe there is no better place to watch the tides than right here. When we are at the time of the
year’s highest tides, the sea will flow into the marshes right up to the highland in front of the house. It may be just a little
rippling sound but that barely audible noise heralds one of nature’s most impressive shows - the highest tide on Earth is rolling
in. Be sure to check out the time-lapse video in our photo gallery.
At night, when all the lights have been turned off,
with nothing but darkness and the great expanse of the universe above you, immerse yourself in one of the world’s most remarkable
landscapes.
Our place is situated on 10 acres of gardens, woods, paths and a marsh area that has the remnants of an old French
dike. Take in the many experiences the area has to offer such as hiking in Fundy National Park, the magnificent views of the
Bay of Fundy from the Fundy Trail or Cape Enrage, exploring the famous Hopewell Rocks, rockhounding at Barn Marsh Beach and beachcombing
on Waterside Beach.
Whatever your activity, at the end of your day you will find our place relaxing, peaceful and quiet.
In the morning, between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM, enjoy
your individually prepared breakfast.
In the evening relax and meet your fellow guests, read a book or catch up on the news back home with the satellite TV.
Many of our guests ask “where is the best place to watch the tides”. Just grab a cup of
coffee or tea or other favourite beverage, pull up a chair and watch as the tides flow in and out.
